TCC Episode 57: Money Mindset When You Already Make Six Figures
Why, oh why is money such a taboo subject for so many?
No other career-related topic makes so many women so uncomfortable and profusely aplogetic.
Now, you may instinctively think to yourself - "Oh no, this isn't me. Who wouldn't want more money?"
But I really want you to lean in, and think a bit deeper on this one.
I see it all the time.
Do you feel even a smidge of discomfort with asking for more?
In discussing your goals, are you more likely to
Prioritize sounding noble over financial gain...
ie - "It's not really about the money. I just want to serve at a higher level..."
Be overly concerned about what others may think about your financial ambitions...
ie - "I don't want to seem greedy."
Anchor yourself comfortably in the middle of the payband.
i.e - "The average salary on Glassdoor is $155K so..."
Have you found yourself feeling excessively nervous about...
Asking for your money back from someone who borrowed it
Asking someone to pay their share of a restaurant bill
What an exponential increase in salary might do to your dating prospects, or your partner's self esteem
Did you know that these fears tend to increase the more money you make?
When you were making under $100K, you likely had a strong desire to get to 6 figures.
And then you did. Maybe even hit $200K.
And perhaps now you think (unconsciously!)... "I'm good. My needs are met. My bills are paid. I have arrived."
There’s so much to explore! Listen in above to learn more about the limiting money beliefs you've never said out loud and how to cultivate an expansive money mindset that exponentially increases your income.
