TCC Episode 56: Who Is Making This Decision?
The average person makes about 35,000 decisions a day 35,000 decisions a day, the average person is making, I mean, let that number sink in 35,000. If you do the math, that's something like just a little under two decisions every second.
And of course, there are some decisions that are more weighty than others.
The question I have for you today is, ‘Who is making these decisions?’
Now you might think to yourself, “I am.” And of course you are. But today, I want to dive a little bit deeper.
You have your past self, you have your present self. And then you have your potential future itself.
Your past self is everything that's happened to you, up until now. All the things that have happened in your life, in your career … from the moment you were born, your childhood, and early adulthood, all of that.
Your present self is everything that you are experiencing today. Your current job, your current relationships, your current income, all of those things are in the present.
And then of course, you have your potential, future self. That person who you want to become.
You may never have thought of yourself in these three parts. But it is so powerful to do that, because we need to make sure that the person who's making the decisions is the right part of you.
And we all have blindspots.
Every person who's serious about their career and their life needs to have people who are there to see the blind spots that you're not going to see.
Every single day, I have conversations with our clients and can hear and see that they're seeing or doing something that is based on the past based on their past self, and it's very limiting.
Your decisions are going to determine the course of your career for a long time, so you need to make sure you're making them from the right place.
Listen in above to learn more, and discover who is truly making the decisions in your business and in your life.
At Intelle, our goal is to help women have the support and the strategies they need to make it all the way to the top in their careers.
